A global trading house revealed to SSESSMENTS.COM the price indication on upcoming official announcement for leading Taiwanese PVC producer’s May shipment offers. According to the source, the leading Taiwanese PVC producer plans to officially announce May shipment offers on Monday (April 20) with a price decrease of $200/ton compared to the last offer to China and Southeast Asia. The trader also stated that the leading Taiwanese PVC producer will skip offering to India market.
The source also informed SSESSMENTS.COM that China is currently working towards reimposing anti-dumping duties (ADD) on US PVC cargoes. At the time of publication, there is no official announcement made by the Chinese government yet on the new ADD for US PVC cargoes. Previously, on October 30, 2019, China announced the removal of ADD on Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) from four countries: the U.S, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.
