Scotland’s Global Energy Group Ltd. (GEG) is collaborating with Switzerland’s integrated energy company Proman to develop a renewable-power-to-methanol plant in Scotland.
They are deploying a fully integrated approach to the entire value chain from project development and production to marketing, logistics, and shipping.
The facility will utilize local sources of captured carbon dioxide, provided by an upcoming Cromarty Clean Fuels Project, to be located at GEG’s Nigg Oil Terminal in the Highlands of Scotland. Proman will become the owner, operator, and off-taker of the green methanol production facility.
