LPG cargo loadings at the US Gulf Coast terminals were unaffected by hurricane Ida, trading sources said. Traders said they have not heard of any cargo cancellations or delays, noting that Ida’s impact was well out of range of Mont Belvieu and Houston. US LPG loadings for Asian markets in August are estimated to hit the initial estimate of 3.7 million tons, while volumes for September are expected to reach 4 million tons.
Data from the US Energy Information Administration showed that the US exported 1.08 million bpd of propane in the week ended August 20, an increase of 25,000 bpd from the previous week. US propane exports have stayed above 1 million bpd for 11 straight weeks. During those weeks, propane exports averaged 1.23 million bpd, compared to 1.04 million bpd over the same period in 2020.
