AlwaysFree: CNPC Launches A 300 MW Grid-Connected PV Generation Project In Yumen Oilfield

Author: SSESSMENTS

According to the company’s website news release on September 21, 2022, on September 8, CNPC launched a 300 MW grid-connected PV generation project in Yumen Oilfield. It is the third key new energy project in this oilfield, following the operation of the first medium- and long-distance hydrogen pipeline and the commencement of the 200 MW PV power generation project in Gansu Province.

Located in Dongzhen Solar PV Park, Yumen, the construction scale of the project is 300 WM, with an installed capacity of 360 WM. After completion, it will generate 605.8 million kWh of electricity annually, which can satisfy the annual demand of 200,000 households. Providing 184,000 tons of coal equivalent carbon-free energy annually, the project will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 504,000 tons each year, equivalent to planting nearly 4.5 million trees. The project will be completed and connected to the grid for power generation on December 26.
