A new joint venture between Air Products and Debang Xinghua Technology Co. announced. A coal-to-syngas processing facility will be built and operated in Xuwei National Petrochemical Park, Jiangsu Province, China.
Debang Group will own 20 percent of the joint venture while Air Products will own 80 percent.
The Air Products-Debang Group joint venture is under a twenty-year contract for a fixed monthly fee. To support Debang Group’s chemical facilities, the JV will own and operate the air separation unit, purification as well as gasification assets supplying syngas. The project in 2023 is expected to be operated.
Air Products will also become the exclusive purchaser of the JV facility’s merchant liquid products.
