AlwaysFree: Anti-Dumping Duty Applies On Brazilian Imports of Butyl Acrylate Originating From Russia

  • Definitive anti-dumping duty applies, for a period of up to 5 (five) years, to Brazilian imports of butyl acrylate, originating in Russia

According to the Brazilian government's chamber of foreign trade Camex’s article published on March 20, 2023, the Executive Management Committee of the Chamber of Foreign Trade, in the use of the attributions conferred by art. 6, item VI, of Decree No. 11,428, of March 2, 2023, and considering the information, reasons and foundations present in Annexes I and II of this Resolution and the resolution at its 202nd Meeting, held on March 16, 2023 , resolves:

Art. 1  o  Close the investigation with the application of a definitive anti-dumping duty, for a period of up to 5 (five) years, to Brazilian imports of butyl acrylate, commonly classified in sub-item 2916.12.30 of the MERCOSUR Common Nomenclature - NCM, originating in Russia, to be collected in the form of a specific rate fixed in US dollars per ton, in the amounts specified below:

Art. 2nd  The  provisions of art. 1 does not apply to butyl acrylate whose purity content is equal to or greater than 99.8%, marketed in glass bottles of up to 2.5 liters.

Art. 3  o  Close the public interest assessment established through SECEX Circular No. 66, of September 30, 2021.

Art. 4  o  Make public the facts that justified the decisions contained in this Resolution, as set out in Annexes I and II.

Art. 5th  This  Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
