- Russian President also thanked sailors for repelling all attacks
According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on November 1, 2022, the recent attack on Russia’s Black Sea fleet warships was partially carried out within the grain transportation corridor, creating hazards for military and civilian vessels, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.
"Ukraine’s futile attack on Black Sea fleet warships <…> occurred partially within the corridor used for transportation of grain from Ukraine. Therefore, there was a threat for our ships ensuring security of grain deliveries, and for civilian vessels transporting it," he said.
Putin also thanked Russian sailors for repelling all attacks.
In his words, Russia has undertaken a commitment to ensure safe deliveries via that route.
"But what if <…> Ukraine strikes these vessels? We will be the ones to blame," the president added.
