Austrian plastic producer ALPLA said on Wednesday that it had agreed to acquire Spanish bottle maker Plastisax for an undisclosed amount. Plastisax’s portfolio consists mostly of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles used in the cosmetics, home and personal care segments. The Alicante-based company uses stretch blow moulding (SBM) and extrusion blow moulding (EBM) technologies for its production. Plastisax employs 58 workers who will be transferred to ALPLA after the transaction.
