According to the company’s website press release on April 7, 2023, the Siam Cement Public Company Limited (or “SCC”) hereby announces that our 5 subsidiary companies under SCG Cleanergy Company Limited (or “SCG Cleanergy”), a wholly owned subsidiary of SCC, have been awarded as the solar energy power producer and supplier to Thai Government as stated to the notice of the Energy Regulatory Commission and other related notice (if any) with detail as following;
The participation of this project is in-line with SCG Cleanergy’s business mission and strategy, which plan to invest in renewable, clean and alternative energy business as an electricity producer and supplier with innovative, efficient and modern technology. The company aimsto be the total solutions provider supporting sustainable business practices and is committed to fight global warming and become a Net Zero Carbon Emission organization.
This investment is considered an asset acquisition transaction. The size of this transaction is 0. 17 of total assets stated in SCC consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2022, and when combined with those in the past six months prior to the date of this transaction, the total size is 2.06. Thus, the disclosure of this transaction is not required pursuant to disclosure rule for the acquisition and disposition of assets. This transaction is not a connected transaction.
