On Monday, oil and gas services firm Baker Hughes released its estimate on the global requirement for LNG by 2030 of 800 million tonnes.
The projection is roughly double the current capacity. In 2020, the requirement for liquefied natural gas (LNG) was at 345 million tonnes.
In contrast, consultant Wood Mackenzie only predicted that the world will need 250 million tonnes in new LNG supply by 2040.
