A 50-50 subsidiary of BASF and Sinopec, YPC Co. Ltd., has expanded the production capacity of neopentyglycol (NPG) in the Verbund site in Nanjing, China.
The expansion was complete in August and would double the production capacity to 80,000 mtpa of NPG.
The expansion would cater to the growing needs of Chinese customers for environmentally friendly powder coatings.
