AlwaysFree: Berry Global, Borealis Sign Deal On Circular Polypropylene Supply

Packaging maker Berry Global Group, Inc. and polyolefins supplier Borealis have entered a deal on the supply of circular polypropylene. Under the agreement, one of Berry’s European manufacturing facilities will use Borealis’ circular polypropylene (PP) to manufacture food packaging for global brand owners. This move is part of Berry’s plans to increase post-consumer recycled (PCR) content in its products to 600 million pounds by 2025. Berry is also partnering with other suppliers of circular polyolefin solutions. Borealis produces circular polypropylene by using advanced chemical recycling technologies to convert post-consumer plastic waste into feedstocks to produce polyolefins that meet the most stringent quality requirements.
