Up 22 percent from Q4 2019, Braskem recorded recurring EBITDA of US$294 million due to the higher sales volume of resins in the Brazilian market, PP in the US and Europe and PE in Mexico. Representing an increase of 154 percent in relation to Q1 2019, sales of resins and chemicals recycled globally in Q1 2020 amounted to 1,200 tons.
A net loss of R$3,649 million reported by the company in the quarter. EBITDA in Brazil was US$233 million (R$1,049 million), 214 percent higher than in Q4 2019 and representing 62 percent of the company's consolidated EBITDA.
Up 33 percent from Q4 2019 and representing 17 percent of the company's consolidated EBITDA, EBITDA in US and Europe was US$62 million (R$277 million). EBITDA in Mexico was US$79 million (R$354 million), 2 percent higher than in Q4 2019 and representing 21 percent of the company's consolidated EBITDA.
