Braven Environmental (Braven) has signed a deal to provide Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) with pyrolysis-derived feedstock. Braven has developed and tested its proprietary pyrolysis process, which can convert post-consumer plastic into a substance called Braven PyChem. The substance offers a circular economy solution for hard to recycle plastics. Braven started up its first commercial-scale site in North Carolina last year. The facility has already supplied Braven PyChem to CPChem. The company plans to set up new plants across the US. Braven did not disclose further details regarding the deal signed with CPChem.
