Cameron LNG in Hackberry, Louisiana has begun the commercial operations under tolling agreements of its 5 million tpa of Train 3, driving the plant’s total capacity to 15 million tpa.
The commercial operations reflected the start of full run-rate earnings under Cameron LNG’s tolling agreements. Operator Sempra LNG had previously started the Train 1 in August 2019 and Train 2 in February 2020 and the plant is now estimated to generate close to USD12 billion of after-debt service cash flows during the 20-year contract period.
Sempra LNG and partners are also developing the 10 million tpa Cameron LNG Phase 2 which will add two additional production trains and associate storage.
