The National Energy Administration said China’s coal companies controlled by the central government have resumed operations and are back at more than 95 percent of their capacity.
For all coal firms, the rate of capacity resumption has reached 76.5 percent, Lu Junling, head of the administration’s coal department, said.
Lu added that the detrimental impact from the coronavirus outbreak has been largely eliminated on the country’s coal production.
