AlwaysFree: China To Open New Port Linking Macau To Guangdong

China is set to open the Qingmao Checkpoint on September 8. The new port will link the Macao Special Administrative Region to Guangdong in the mainland. The new checkpoint is located near the Border Gate Checkpoint, one of the main existing ports connecting the two regions. The new port will have 100 automated channels for inbound and outbound passenger clearance services. It is designed to support the Border Gate Checkpoint. According to the Macau government, Macau ID holders and registered tourists can opt to use the new checkpoint.
