The construction of Vietnam’s Vung Ang 2 coal-fired power plant is planned to start in December.
The 1,230 MW plant is located in Ha Tinh province and the construction work on the project would start on December 5.
The USD2.2 billion project is scheduled to start commercial power generation in the third quarter of 2025.
On Tuesday, Vung Ang II Thermal Power LLC (VAPCO) said that the required procedures for the project have been completed.
