AlwaysFree: Corpus Christi Restarts LNG Loading After Hurricane Laura

Author: SSESSMENTS

Cheniere Energy’s Corpus Christi LNG Export Terminal became the first facility to restart cargo loading in the US Gulf Coast after Hurricane Laura ravaged the region last week. Tanker-tracking data showed Sasho Maru loaded the first cargo from the terminal on August 29, two days after Laura’s landfall. Cheniere’s second terminal in Texas is also online to handle cargo loading.

Meanwhile, Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Louisiana is under the restarting process. Sempra is also restarting operation at its Cameron LNG terminal. The two terminals were the most directly affected by the hurricane and still not taking feedgas as of Tuesday. Laura has pushed aggregate US feedgas utilization down to 3 Bcfd from 4.5 Bcfd earlier in August.
