According to the company’s website press release on March 6, 2023, DOMO Chemicals, a global engineered materials manufacturer, is proud to announce that it has signed a manufacturing contract with MIKA INC, a South Korean plastic compound manufacturing and distribution company. The contract signing ceremony took place on February 14, 2023 and was held at the head office of MIKA INC. On behalf of DOMO Chemicals, Asia Pacific General Manager Fabrizio Cochi and DOMO Korea Director Kim Jae-won took part in the manufacturing contract signing. MIKA INC. was represented by Vice chairman and CEO Kim (Sean) Tae-gyoun.
MIKA INC. boasts a wide portfolio from general-purpose plastics such as PE, PP, PA, POM, PBT, and PC to high performance engineering plastics. The company is continuously investing to expand its business with the aim to become one of the largest plastic compounding companies in Korea. Since its establishment in 2014, MIKA INC. has been forming partnerships with various global companies to manufacture and distribute specialized compounds.
Kim (Andrea) Jong-hyeon underlines the importance of this move for MIKA INC.: “This new agreement with DOMO gives us the opportunity to add to our portfolio the renowned TECHNYL®brand of PA6 and PA66 based engineered materials.”
As the exclusive owner of the TECHNYL® brand globally since 2022, this new partnership is another milestone in DOMO's ambition to expand the company's nylon-based engineering materials business in Asia.
