On Monday, Canadian Enbridge Inc. said that the Westcoast natural gas pipeline in the flood-hit province of British Columbia is now transporting more gas than at the same period last year.
As of Monday, the pipeline transported 1.63 bcfd of natural gas just less than a week after it shut a part of the pipeline system due to the flood, which caused the flows to drop to 1.4 bcfd from the normal 1.8 bcfd.
The company said that it was capable to maintain its natural gas service after the weather condition and quickly raise the capacity on the Westcoast pipeline system.
