On Thursday, Energy Transfer LP said that the project of building an offshore crude export facility in Texas capable of serving supertankers is progressing on schedule.
After a discussion with potential shippers, the project will likely be in service by late 2022 or early 2023. The regulatory and permitting process of the project has also been made.
Energy Transfer’s CFO Thomas Long said that the plans call for the facility to connect to the company’s crude terminal in Nederland, Texas, has not yet been made. The Permian Express 4 crude pipeline expansion connecting Colorado City to Nederland went into full service on October 1 and is operating at full capacity.
