According to TASS, Russia's state-owned news agency article published on October 19, 2022, the Euro exchange rate dropped below 60 rubles during foreign currency trading on Moscow Exchange on Wednesday for the first time since October 10, 2022, according to trading data.
As of 1:43 pm Moscow time the Euro exchange rate was down by 1.25% at 59.99 rubles. By 2:05 pm the Euro extended losses to 1.35% trading at 59.93 rubles. Meanwhile the dollar exchange rate was down by 0.25% at 61.42 rubles.
By 2:10 pm the MOEX Index was down by 3.14% at 1,968.51 points, while the RTS Index was down by 3.02% at 1,008.34 points.
