On Thursday, US oil giant ExxonMobil Corp. reiterated its support for President Joe Biden’s methane regulations, part of his new executive orders to address greenhouse gas emissions.
Exxon stated that it has generated a framework of emission declining plans to cut methane intensity by half of its 2016 levels. It is estimated to bring down the global absolute methane emissions by 40-50%.
