AlwaysFree: First Egyptian LNG Cargo Arrives At Croatia’s LNG Terminal

Author: SSESSMENTS

The first LNG cargo from Egypt arrived at Croatia’s 2.6 Bcm/year floating import terminal on November 10. It was the terminal’s 16th cargo in total since it entered service at the beginning of 2021. Egypt has a strategic advantage as an LNG supplier to Croatia and other Mediterranean countries, thanks to its geographic position. According to ship-tracking data, it takes just three days for an LNG carrier to reach the import terminal from Shell-operated LNG export facility at Idku, Egypt. The data also showed that the Croatian import terminal has so far taken eight LNG cargoes from the US, two each from Nigeria and Qatar, and one each from France, Belgium, and Trinidad.
