Paris-based Veolia has expanded its plastic recycling capacity in the UK by 8,000 tons/year through three plants in London, Essex, and the Midlands. These facilities are designed to recycle 100 different grades of plastic, including high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP), and polycarbonate (PC), from consumer, commercial, and industrial sources. Veolia will offer full services that include collection of materials from homes or businesses, recycling of the materials, then converting them into pellets for new plastic production.
