AlwaysFree: Freeport LNG Slowly Returns To Full Production As Repairs Take Longer Than Expected

Author: SSESSMENTS

Freeport LNG experienced an unspecified incident on October 31 which involved one of its pretreatment trains. Repairs at this unit have taken longer than first expected and will affect the company’s plan to return to full production. A spokesperson from the company said full production is expected to resume by November 20, about two weeks later than the initial estimate. Feedgas deliveries to the 15 million tons/year plant south of Houston came in at 1.4 Bcfd on November 8 after falling to 476 Mcfd on November 5, the lowest since the facility completely shut down on September 17 due to power disruptions caused by Hurricane Nicholas.
