On Tuesday, Markus C. Slevogt, the head of the German-Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Turkey) said that Turkey is on the list of Germany’s green hydrogen supplier countries.
Other than Turkey, the countries being considered are Norway, Iceland, Australia, and Chile.
Slevogt said that Turkey can build on the energy partnership between the two countries that has been established in 2012 into a long-term and stable supply relationship.
Germany announced a national hydrogen strategy in 2020 with a planned investment of EUR8 billion (USD9.37 billion) for the development of 62 large-scale hydrogen projects.
