According to the Brazilian government's chamber of Foreign Trade (Camex) article published on March 17, 2023:
A) Final Determination - Butyl Acrylate - Application of anti-dumping measure:
Approved the application of the definitive anti-dumping duty on Brazilian imports of butyl acrylate, commonly classified under sub-item 2916.12.30 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature – NCM, originating in Russia, for a period of up to five years.
B) Public Interest Assessment on Brazilian imports of butyl acrylate originating in Russia:
Approved the non-suspension of the anti-dumping duty on Brazilian imports of butyl acrylate originating in Russia
C) Request for Reconsideration – Footwear:
The request for reconsideration was rejected, in view of GECEX Resolution No. 303/2022, of February 23, 2022, published in the Federal Official Gazette (DOU) on February 25, 2022, which decided to extend the definitive anti-dumping duty, for a period of up to 5 (five) years on footwear imports, classified in headings 6402 to 6405 of the Mercosur Common Nomenclature (NCM), with the exception of NCM codes 6402.12.00, 6402.20.00, 6403.12.00 and 64.03. 20.00, originating in the People's Republic of China (China).
D) Requests for reconsideration - Citric acid and certain salts and esters of citric acid:
The requests for reconsideration were rejected, in view of GECEX Resolution No. 384, of August 19, 2022, which applies definitive anti-dumping duty, for a period of up to five years, to imports of citric acid and certain salts and esters of citric acid (" ACSM"), originating in Colombia and Thailand.
E) Reapplication of compensatory measure for Hot Rolled Products:
Rejected the request for reapplication of the suspended compensatory measure for reasons of public interest, levied on imports of flat-rolled products, of alloy or non-alloy steel, with a width equal to or greater than 600 mm, hot-rolled, in sheets (not coiled) thicker than 4.75 mm, or in coils (in rolls) of any thickness, commonly classified under codes 7208.10. 10, 7208.36.90, 7208.37.00, 7208.38.10, 7208.38.90, 7208.39.10, 7208.39.90, 7208.40.00, 7208.53.00, 7208.54.00, 7208.90.05, 7208.90.05, 7208.90. Mercosur Common Nomenclature - NCM, originating in China, pursuant to CAMEX Resolution No. 34, of May 21, 2018.
F) Extension of the suspension of compensatory measures for aluminum rolled products:
Approved the extension, for a period of three months from April 1, 2023, of the suspension in the public interest of the application of the compensatory measure object of Gecex Resolution No. 431, of December 20, 2022, published in the Federal Official Gazette in December 21, 2023.
