Honeywell UOP LLC has won a technology contract for a new 16 million tons/year integrated refining complex in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu, China belonging to Shenghong Refining & Chemical Co. Ltd. (SRCLC) a subsidiary of Shenghong Petrochemical Group Co. Ltd.
Under the contract, Honeywell will supply its hydrogen technology, which covers five of its proprietary Polybed pressure swing adsorption (PSA) units to produce high-purity hydrogen. It will provide four Polybed PSA systems equipped with hardware, adsorbents, control systems, and embedded process technology.
SRCLC’s new complex will include 4 million tons/year light hydrocarbon recovery unit, .8 million tons/year Kerosine hydrogenation unit, 2 million tons/year delayed coker, 3.5 million tons/year hydrocracking unit no.1, 3.6 million tons/year hydrocracking unit no.2, 3.3 million tons/year residue hydrogenation unit, 3 million tons/year Gasoline-diesel hydrogenation unit, 600,000 tons/year sulfur recovery, and 2 x 3.2 million continuous reformers.
The site will also be capable of producing 2.8 million tons/year of paraxylene, 1.1 million tons/year of acrylonitrile, 90,000 tons/year of methyl methacrylate, and 300,000 tons/year of ethylene-vinyl acetate. In addition, it will include four 50,000-tons liquid chemical berths and a 300,000-tons crude oil berth in a terminal port in the Xuwei Port area of Lianyungang Port.
