According to the company’s website news release on February 15, 2023, the Suez Canal Authority has issued periodical amendments for Circulars No (1) / 2022 and No (2) /2022 concerning additional SCA surcharges levied on Laden / Ballast Suez Canal transits for (Crude Oil Tankers) and (Petroleum Products Tankers) as per the below periodicals applicable and will come in force as of 1st of April 2023
The SCA surcharges have increased for both tankers type as follows:
- Laden Transits: From the current 15% surcharge to 25% surcharge of the Suez Canal normal transit tolls.
- Ballast Transits: From the current 5% surcharge to 15% surcharge of the Suez Canal normal transit tolls.
