AlwaysFree: India’s Petronet LNG Seeks New Opportunity In Petrochemical Market

India’s largest gas importer Petronet LNG plans to diversify its business into the petrochemical sector. Petronet Chairman Tarun Kapoor said that the company is exploring setting up an ethane/propane import facility at Dahej Terminal. Petronet is also considering building a petrochemical complex that will process propane imported at Dahej. Kapoor said the complex would be synchronized with Petronet’s planned third jetty at Dahej. He, however, did not specify the investment, the capacity, and other details about the planned petrochemical complex.
