During the April-January period of the last fiscal, India's chemical exports rose by more than 7 percent to Rs 2.68 lakh crore. This constitutes 14.35 percent of the total exports. For the first time, the industry became the top exporting sector in the country.
Compared with the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, India’s chemical exports increased by 7.43 percent during April 2019-January 2020. Full support promised by the government to the industry towards making the country a leading global hub for chemicals and petrochemicals manufacturing.
