INEOS Styrolution has introduced the Novodur ECO and Novodur ECO High Heat, its first specialty acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) containing mechanically-recycled material. The two product ranges will contain up to 70% and 50% mechanically recycled post-consumer waste, respectively. INEOS Styrolution said that the two products have identical mechanical properties to their virgin ABS counterparts and can be used as drop-in solutions in their respective applications.
Novodur ECO High Heat offers a balanced property profile, making them suitable for automotive applications such as centre radiator grills, consoles, and mirror housings. The two products will come in standard colours, and there will be an option for custom colouring. INEOS Styrolution also produces TerluranECO, a version of its general-purpose acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) Terluran brand with a recycled content of up to 70%.
