On Wednesday, the Egyptian Energy Ministry said that Israel had started exporting natural gas to the country.
For the next 15 years, Israel will export 85 bcm of natural gas from its Leviathan and Tamar reservoirs to Egypt. The deal also enables Egypt to export to Europe via its liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals.
