According to the company’s website press release on January 4, 2023, POSCO Chemical has had an inauguration ceremony for its 18th president, Kim Joon-hyeong, who at the ceremony emphasized safety management and the securing of sustainable competitive advantages.
On the morning of the 3rd, POSCO Chemical held an inauguration ceremony for its new president, Kim Joon-hyeong, at the auditorium of its headquarters building located in Pohang, with the attendance of some 60 people including executives and employees and the head of the labor union. The inauguration ceremony was broadcast live online for employees who were unable to attend in person.
At the inauguration ceremony, new president Kim Joon-hyeong said, “I've returned to POSCO Chemical after two years to find that it has established itself as the main pillar of POSCO Group through the hard work of many of its employees. Now is the time to secure a driving engine for sustained growth through competitive investments and thereby grow rapidly into a recognized leader in the global market.”
To that end, he emphasized creating a safe and happy workplace, differentiating business capabilities as a global top-tier material company, and building a healthy and open corporate culture.
Concluding his inauguration speech, he also added, “Let’s work together to build a POSCO Chemical where executives and employees diligently forge ahead towards a new future and put the company's grand visions into action with power and speed.”
