Kinder Morgan is teaming up with Neste to establish a domestic raw material storage and logistics hub in Louisiana. The facility will support the production of sustainable aviation fuel, renewable diesel, and renewable feedstock for polymers and chemicals in the US. Neste will use the facility to store a variety of raw materials. In the initial phase, Kinder Morgan will repurpose existing tanks and pipes for dedicated storage for a variety of raw materials. It also includes installing a new boiler for heating tanks and railcars as well as improving infrastructure for truck, rail, and marine transportation. The project is expected to commence operations in the first quarter of 2023. Neste has an option to expand the facility further.
