Linde and Hydrogen Utopia International (HUI) have signed a deal to deploy unique waste-to-hydrogen systems in Poland. The project will use DMG® gasification technology developed by UK-based Powerhouse Energy. It will be able to convert up to 40 tons/day of plastic waste into 58 MWh of renewable electricity and clean hydrogen. Linde, HUI, and Powerhouse Energy are currently conducting a feasibility study envisaging a first plant to be jointly set up in Konin, Central Poland. Once operational, it will provide hydrogen to passenger cars, city buses, and heavy-duty vehicles.
