Milliken & Co. has invested in increasing the US domestic production of its Milliken Perimeter advanced medical fabrics in response to the global shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Since March, Milliken has distributed around 10 million yards of reusable medical fabrics. The firm’s durable Perimeter fabric provides a smart solution for industries other than critical medical environments, including dental, educational, and hospitality environments where advanced PPE is now important.
The fabric is able to be utilized multiple times while sustaining its protective functions, providing a cost-effective, local-made alternative to the single-use PPE. Milliken is ensuring that its Perimeter fabric is immediately available around the US.
