Finnish refiner Neste will delay the planned major maintenance shutdown at its Porvoo refinery on the back of the new coronavirus pandemic and can only proceed with the most business-critical maintenance work.
Previously, the company predicted the turnaround to hit its profits this year by EUR220 million (USD236 million), but with the change of plan, it will dent by EUR85 million (USD91 million).
Neste said that the rest of the maintenance works are targeted to be finished in 2021 and would affect the company’s comparable operating profit in February 2021 at the latest.
