Ahead of the ministerial gathering of OPEC+ next week, an OPEC’s commission board and OPEC+ experts will meet this week.
The economic commission Organization of Petrochemical Exporting Countries (OPEC) will meet this Wednesday and Thursday, while OPEC+ technical experts are scheduled to meet on Friday, according to three OPEC sources.
The meetings will talk about the possible scenarios for the ministers to discuss next week. All the meetings will be held virtually on account of the coronavirus pandemic.
At the moment, OPEC+ is predicted to extend its existing level of oil output cuts of 7.7 million bpd for a further three to six months starting January 2021 rather than easing the cuts to 5.7 million bpd as originally planned.
