According to the company’s website news release on March 14, 2023, Pertamina through PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Commercial & Trading (SH C&T) Subholding, West Java Region (JBB) for the first time sold 2,800 Metric Tons (MT) of granular sulfur products to PT South Pacific Viscose located in the Purwakarta, West Java which has further strengthened Pertamina Patra Niaga's steps in marketing and selling Petrochemical products in the domestic market.
The initial product handover process was carried out at Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, on March 11-12, 2023, led and monitored directly by the Manager of Corporate Sales JBB Region, Manager of Petrochemical Sales Area JBB Region, Petrochemical Industry Business Team, and Corporate Sales Team JBB Region.
Manager of Corporate Sales of JBB Region, Arif Rahman, said that the granular sulfur products marketed were imported ex-trading products marketed in the domestic market.
"The sale of ex-trading sulfur products to South Pacific Viscose is the initial foundation for Pertamina Patra Niaga to add a portfolio of petrochemical products in the domestic market following the Go Petchem slogan as one of the market expansion strategies towards independence to carry out independent production of sulfur products and others through domestic petrochemical refineries in 2025," said Arif.
