The Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) will start ethylene production at its Ilam Petrochemical Plant in the western Iranian province of Ilam this month, according to a company official in a local TV interview. The plant can produce up to 450,000 tons/year of ethylene that will mostly be fed on the plant’s polyethylene unit. The excess ethylene supply will be injected to the West Ethylene Pipeline starting from August, the official said.
