On Wednesday afternoon, Russian natural gas flows to Germany via the Yamal-Europe pipeline declined by more than 11% from the day’s earlier levels.
Flows through the pipeline into Germany at the Mallnow metering point were at 10,110,172 kWh compared to 11,400,000 on Wednesday morning and the previous day.
Wednesday’s European and British wholesale gas prices were mixed and only changed a little from Tuesday’s although concerns regarding the gas supplies from Russia amid rising demand for heating as cold weather hits Europe persisted.
On a related account, the other major route for Russian gas exports to Europe, the Velke Kapusany metering point on the Slovak-Ukraine border was only a little changed from the previous day at 1.0 million mWh or 92.1 million m3.
