According to the company’s website press release on February 9, 2023, Santos advises that gas production has resumed from the John Brookes platform, offshore Western Australia, and is expected to ramp-up to full rates in the coming days.
Production was suspended in late-November to allow for repairs following the identification of a small leak on the main gas trunkline connecting John Brookes to the Varanus Island gas processing facilities.
Santos Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Gallagher said he appreciated the work of our employees and contractors in returning John Brookes to production in a safe and efficient manner and without harm to the environment.
