Two sources familiar with the matter said that four workers of ExxonMobil Corp.’s petrochemical complex in Baytown, Texas, US, have tested positive for coronavirus.
The production at the 560,500 bpd refinery inside the complex has not been impacted by the cases as the individuals with symptoms or confirmed cases are already receiving proper treatment.
The refinery has only shut a 90,000 bpd gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracker 2 (FCC 2) since late March in the refinery due to the crush on demand.
The Baytown Area facilities, which include the refinery, a chemical plant, an olefin plant, and logistic facilities has to remain operating.
