On Monday, some sources familiar with plant operations said that Marathon Petroleum Corp. would cut its operating rate of the 140,000 bpd gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracker (FCC) at its Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City, Texas.
Previously, the FCC restarted on Sunday after a shutdown due to a brief power outage on March 23.
