On Wednesday, South Korea’s LG Chem said that a delegation is sent to India to probe on the deadly toxic gas leak on its chemical plant in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, which killed 11 people and got hundreds hospitalized.
The delegation is made up of eight members, led by the company’s petrochemical business head. They will meet Indian officials while also briefing support measures to affected residents.
Previously, the accident occurred at a plant operated by LG Polymers on Thursday morning, after the company tried to restart operations following the partial easing of the coronavirus lockdown.
