Russia’s PJSC Tatneft chose Versalis S.p.A.’s technologies for its new synthetic rubber production plants at the Togliatti industrial site.
Versalis will provide the license and engineering to produce 70,000 tpa of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) and 30,000 tpa of carboxylated styrene-butadiene rubber latexes (XSBR).
NBR rubbers are marked by high resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, gasoline, and lubricants, as well as good flexibility at low temperatures, which qualifies them for use in various industrial fields.
XSBR latexes are used in the production of adhesives, paper and cardboard coverings, mat bases, etc.
