  • The first 2023 Round offering natural gas capacity services to transport Short-Term Products on a quarterly basis received a request from GALP for 50,000 m³/day of input capacity at EMED Gascar/SP. The request was fully approved at the auction held last Monday, December 26th.

According to the company’s website press release on December 30, 2022, the first 2023 Round offering natural gas capacity services to transport Short-Term Products on a quarterly basis received a request from GALP for 50,000 m³/day of input capacity at EMED Gascar/SP. The request was fully approved at the auction held last Monday, December 26th.

The offer and contracting were carried out electronically, through the Capacity Booking Portal (POC); the digital environment created to permit the contracting of short-term products and services (quarterly, monthly and daily), interruptible products, and contracted products via Public Open Seasons. The POC also includes possible requests to access connections with the TBG natural gas transport pipeline system.

TBG is the only company in Brazil that offers short-term transportation services on a quarterly, monthly and daily basis. These contract modalities were designed to contribute to the expansion of the market, enabling access by new agents in the sector for both supply and demand operations, as well as satisfy gas carrier goals and to meet new market demands by offering pioneering products and services.

In August 2021, the POC became the first multi-carrier platform in the country, to facilitate the purchase of natural gas products and services from TBG, as well as from other gas carriers.
